This question cannot be proved because you cannot judge who can dunk a basketball better because that is based on your taste, and the type of dunks you enjoy to witness. In my opinion, I think Gerald Green is a better dunker because he has a larger arsenal of dunks and has more variety. I also think that Gerald Green has a higher vertical dunk and better hang time which is why Gerald Green is actually my favorite dunker in the league.

I pick Josh Smith of course. Its hard to hate against Green..JSmooth does great in-game dunks, as does Green..They are both a highlight reel waiting to happen. I've seen only 2-3 kinds of in game dunks from Green; between the legs, and windmill..Josh can basically do anything at will, during a game. He's bigger than Green, and he's got a longer wing spam I believe..They're both great, but I gotta give JS the edge..I still think Lester Earl is the best dunker..

I have to go with Gerald. Josh Smith can jump real high, and his dunks are unbelievable. But some of the things Gerald does, man...You almost feel like you have to pinch yourself when he throws something down. He is probably the best in-game dunker in the League. BTW I saw him in the high school dunk off, and he just killed it there.

Green. More creative in dunk contests than Smith, and gets up higher.

Josh Smith hands down is the best dunker. Hopefully Green will enter the slam dunk contest next year

I honestly haven't seen a ton of Josh Smith dunks except for in the '05 dunk contest and I've seen a ton of sick dunks from Green so I'll choose him. He has a lot of variety, can get up high, and can do great dunks in games. I mean that alley oop dunk in the game was awesome when he got his head at the same level as the rim. Both awesome dunkers though. I'm really hoping Green is in the contest this season.

If he gets a lot of playing time and can make some highlight reels he'll probably get chosen

As far as I've seen, JSmith is a monster on the dunks, but I haven't seen GGreen play enough to do all the stuff Smith has done. Time in this league is another factor, as well as playing time. And by the looks on the video, it seems as though Smith can jump almost a foot higher than Green.

God damn, this is so tough. They both have different dunking styles. Green is more of a finesse dunker while J-Smoov is a guy that likes to fully extend and make a pretty slam. Both of these guys are incredibly talented, and when Sham said Smith looks like he jumps a lot higher, it's because his arms are like 8 feet long lol (obviously an exaguration).

But I would have to say Gerald Green. Like CB4 said, some of the things he does in games is just like "OMFG!" Smith is incredible, don't get me wrong, but he doesn't have as much flair/finesse as Gerald. Gerald can do so many different things, from all angles. Put him in the dunk contest in 07 I would put $10 he wins.

I say Gerald. If you look at how many highlight dunks that he has in the amount of playing time that he had gotten this past season, its amazing. Josh Smith plays 28 minutes a night almost everynight and Gerald has just as many miraculous dunks as he does. The only reason Smith would have the edge is because he dominated the one NBA dunk contest. Im going to go with G-money.
