http://www.clutchfans.net/news/1353/t-mac_...blems_are_over/<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Rockets forward Tracy McGrady visited Houston Texans training camp on Tuesday to help promote his celebrity softball game. When asked on local radio 610 about the back problems that plagued him last season, T-Mac acted like it was completely in the past. "Man the back was what, March?" asked McGrady. "I am done with the back problems, officially over. I am healthy. I am proud to say that because it was a rough season last year, but yeah I'm healthy and ready to go. Thank God for another year." McGrady, who announced that he is getting married in September, also praised new Rocket Shane Battier. "I think Battier is going to really help us," said McGrady. "He's a blue collar player. He doesn't do anything great, but he does everything good and well. Defense is what he does best, his hustle. He has heart. I think with myself and Yao Ming drawing so much attention on the offensive end, you have to guard him because he can shoot the ball." The star forward wasn't ready to say just yet that the Rockets had the right supporting cast. "That is a question that remains to be [seen]. I don't know, because the summer is not over yet. I don't know all the guys that we acquired or are acquiring, so I won't know until training camp."</div>
I think that's great. With him and Yao healthy this season, the Rockets should have one heck of a season. :beerchug:
That's great news for Rockets fans. If Tmac and Yao stay healthy together the whole season then the Rockets will make the playoffs. Period. No questions asked.
The Rockets should be good but they haven't addressed their point guard needs. They were close to getting Mike James but failed so now they have a backup starting for them there. I would say a 50-55 wins season
We also need a starting PF. Juwan sucks .Either that or have Battier play SOMETIMES at the PF position which according to JVG is going to do SOMETIMES.
Hope to god we land the 6th seed and play Denver/Utah! I honestly don't think we can beat SA, Dallas or Phoenix.I agree, PF is where the Rockets lack. PG we have Rafer, Sura, Lucas among others. And T-Mac is the main playmaker anyway, so that doesn't need to be adressed. But with Swift getting shipped out, we have a HUGE void in PF. Our frontcourt is old and washed up, with lack of depth to go with it.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Hope to god we land the 6th seed and play Denver/Utah! So unless the fourth team is really bad (unlikely, since it'll probably be the Spurs or Mavs), then it'll be better to be the 5th seed. And that's where we I think we'll land.
Oops, appears that just happenned today. How do you figure Mavs or Spurs will be 4th? They are better than Denver, and even if Phoenix has a better record, they will be in top 3. If Rockets land 5th they will face either Denver or Utah.
