He'll be fun. Ok, good, Marquis can sit and learn. I think he might go to the DL.

Should be a better JLIII. However, until Rose returns, he'll be the #2 PG, not #3.

At the vet min, it's a helluva pickup.

Yeah, kind of weird about how cheap he comes. I guess it's just the right situation for him and for us. Good.

I do think he should be our starting PG. let Kurt fill the combo guard off the bench role we're vastly overpaying for.

Denny, you're nothing if not consistently on message. Obama should talk to you about joining up with his campaign team!

But yeah, Nate may be a significant upgrade even over CJ as a backup point (at least, offensively). And so cheap! it will be interesting to see how the minutes situation resolves itself during the season.

Not the difference between contender/non-contender, but Nate's a useful bench player.

We at least have a guy that can score in volume if need be.

His per 36 numbers from last year were 17/7 and had a PER of 18.

    Overall I like Kirk/Robinson more than CJ/Lucas.

I'm writing this on the assumption that Kirk has something of a renaissance this season.

If we get the Kirk of last year then it's a little closer.

And I guess this also puts the nail in the coffin for Teague getting any sort of regular minutes when Rose comes back.

^^Unless Teague earns them, which he probably won't.

    18 PER.

Hinrich hasn't had a PER over 13.1 since the 2006-07 season. It better be one hell of a renaissance.

Nate is a Ben Gordon lite. He can put up numbers in a hurry if need be. Now, what effect that will have on team chemistry or offensive sets remains to be seen.

That's funny to me. I was gonna post "18 PER...We're saved" as a joke.

Given what we have at PG, the 18 PER guy is the savior.

Nate has always been a fun player. I see nothing but upside and no downside especially at the price. Great signing to help us through a rough season without Rose.

There must be something wrong with me because I honestly have no idea what any of you guys are talking about. Robinson is bad. As in six or seven steps worse than John Lucas III. I mean as your 13th man, whatever, he's fine. I don't see how you want him playing consistent minutes, and that's where he's slotted.

SST, I can't say I caught a lot of Robinson's games last season. He put up good numbers. How does his performance last season translate to bad?

He's tiny, but so is Lucas III. Maybe he gets abused on defense, though I am of the belief that if your guy scores 18 and the guy he guard scores 17, you should win the game (meaning, outscore at every position).
