KEX isn't giving up Rush Limbaugh so it will be Blazer talk on 1080 and Blazer bitching and moaning on 750.
How would that be so? I dont see why so many fans get down on him for being critical. Its so funny that the second he says something bad about the Blazers or Ducks people jump on him. He has gone off numerous times on the Beavers, but nobody cares. He calls it as he sees it, which is what I like. Also why I like Rome.
Rome knows his shit. Sure he said things in his early days strictly for ratings. But overall when you listen to him you always respected his take. You can tell he knows sports. Canzano on the other hand, although an intelligent guy, and an excellent writer, says things strictly for ratings and has very limited knowledge on sports. I do not believe he says things as he sees it. I believe he says things strickly to get the fan base fired up. Like I said he is intelligent, just not about sports. But maybe he has changed. I literally can not stand the sound of his voice and have not listened to him in over a year.
I've never been listening to sports radio and thought it was good, so I've never wanted to listen to sports radio. I don't see the point
In the early 90's I could not get enough of it. Those days are long gone. My days are much more relaxing now. I cut out all cable news shows as well. Every talk show host who has an agenda has been eliminated from my day.
TRAIL BLAZERS PARTNER WITH CLEAR CHANNEL TO BROADCAST GAMES IN 2012-13 Games will be simulcast on NewsRadio 1190 and 102.3 KEX PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Trail Blazers and Clear Channel have entered into an agreement to air all preseason and regular season games beginning next season, it was announced today by the team. Games will simulcast on both AM and FM frequencies on NewsRadio 1190 and 102.3 KEX, the team’s new flagships stations. The move will return coverage to the stations that aired Trail Blazers games from 1979-85 and again from 1989-2001. “The Trail Blazers’ partnership with KEX and Clear Channel Media & Entertainment goes beyond the ability to provide our fans with a simulcast of our broadcasts,” said Trail Blazers Senior Vice President of Digital Entertainment Dick Vardanega. “This partnership will also provide a number of new and innovative opportunities for our fans to engage in all things Trail Blazers. We are very excited about the possibilities and can’t wait to get things started.” NewsRadio 1190 and 102.3 KEX will also air Trail Blazers Courtside, the team’s weekly talk show with broadcasters Mike Barrett, Mike Rice, Brian Wheeler and Antonio Harvey beginning Sept. 10. Radio affiliates outside of the Portland area will not be affected.
That wont matter as much as the only real reason to listen to Beaver Bball on the radio was due to the game not being on TV. The Pac12 Network has fixed that issue.
Yeah, he does say a lot of things just to get the fan bases up in arms, but he still has good takes imo. I stopped listening to sports radio over the last year, so I dont really know anymore.
access to my team again legally?!?! If they add Archiving to the streaming and pay deal, I will be set!
