    "Since he last worked with Texans coach Gary Kubiak in Denver nearly a decade ago, Karl Dorrell has ridden what can only be described as a coast-to-coast coaching roller coaster.

    He has been hired and fired and praised and panned.

    From Los Angeles, where he had a mixed-bag, five-season run as coach at his alma mater UCLA, to Miami, where a promising start as a Tony Sparano assistant led only to more acrimony and another pink slip, Dorrell has been caught in the eye of more storms than he would have liked."
