    SFL is Super Fight League, a new promotion that seeks to break into the largely untapped South Asian market of India and the surrounding area. It is headed up by British entrepreneur Raj Kundra and actor Sanjay Dutt. SFL has had three events so far with four more scheduled.

    As you can imagine, getting a foothold in India has been a struggle so far, with the traveling league fighting to build interest in what is regarded as a foreign and brutal spectacle.

    The SFL has decided to take a chapter out of the UFC's playbook and create it's own version of The Ultimate Fighter, called SFL Challengers, featuring inexperienced male and female competitors looking to earn a contract with the promotion.

    SFL airs on television on Neo Prime and Zoom TV in India but is being made available on YouTube after the fact. The show is in English when possible (not everyone involved speaks English so there are subtitles).

    This is the first episode. Supposedly the actual fights won't start until the third episode, presumably once the audience is conditioned to what they are going to see.

    At this point it feels more like Big Brother than TUF. Really hard to tell if any of the athletes have a clue.

    I would describe the quality of female fighters as shocking but they are 18- and 19-years old and have had little formal training so WYSIWYG.

    I wonder how the response is for this in India?
