Sometimes retreads work. Coaches grow a lot, especially when they've worked with multiple organizations and coaches.

It also helps to have better talent as well, obviously.

All Nate did was develop Roy into ROY and 3 time all star and Aldrdige into an all star.

Heck with such an upgrade as Stotts (from Nate) I expect Lillard to be ROY and Lillard and the the big white rookie to be all stars in short time.

Wasn't it Bayno who convinced LA to start taking it into the post more, which is really what led LA to start blossoming into an allstar caliber player.

A coach happens to be the coach when a team gets a good player and he develops him. A black and white world like that would be interesting. Those 1 and done's in the playoffs were fun.....

Good enough hire, hope he proves himself to be an offensive genius.

As far as who developed Roy and LMA, I think Roy and LMA should get most of the credit. Aside from that, usually assistants are more important in the development of players than head coaches.

I didn't know shit about any of the candidates. Same as all of you. So I guess we will have to wait and see. I do think they were pretty thorough with their process.

Obviously Jackson was never an option, so that whole discussion was hypothetical at best. As for Sloan, he was a legend in Utah and the majority of their fans were tired of his style long before he left. Blazer fans would have been on his band wagon for about a month and the players for even less.

Judging by McMillan and Cheeks, it takes 2-3 years of fan discontent before Allen gets up the nerve to fire a coach. He's afraid of what Canzano will say. But we all know that we want Stotts gone in less than 2-3 years.

Therefore, there's not a moment to lose. We must begin tomorrow, and early. Sly, you start the campaign against his offensive sets. Ed O, you criticize his timeouts. Denny, hire someone to get hold of his tax returns. PapaG, you start comparing Nate's stats favorably to Stotts'. I'll be here to coordinate. Any conflicts among you, just come to me and I'll split the isue like Solomon.

Everybody come prepared. 6 am. Let's get the ball rolling on running this guy out of town 2-3 years from now.

Just remember (per Canzano) that Bob Whitsitt will always be calling the shots no matter who the Blazers hire. So really he is the one to talk to. (and blame if you are pissed)

The name Terry Stotts might have something to do with that?

Sorry to be late to the "Blazers finally have a new coach" party. I think I was lost in Olympic-ville somewhere between springboard and rhythmic gymnastics. May have been some beach volleyball in there somewhere as well.

Stotts - okay - that's been pretty predictable for the past two weeks. Fine. Rebuilding we go. Yay.

And Kaleb would have ran exactly what Nate did. He doesn't know anything else.

Both George Karl and Phil Jackson had been CBA coaches before getting their break. You never know. I like the hire.

What an Anglo-Saxon name, Terry Stotts. Why does the Mexican always take the heat? Why does Olshey hate Mexicans? HCP, I ask you. How will you avenge our brethren? Why don't you make an investigative video about Olshey? Notice how he ditched the former Conquistadores?
