Also SunnyD, do you actually believe that Alonzo Mourning is underrated? He's very close to retiring and still is an amazing 6th man for the Heat but people recognize him, everyone knows him from when he was younger, everyone still thinks he's a good player and very desrving to be the 6th man to the Heat, and could easily still start for a team.

I'm not blinded with anything. I see what Paul Pierce does on a regular basis, he doesn't get enough respect from the league, or its fans. Slam even called him "the most slept on superstar in the game".

Paul Pierce is a superstar, no doubt but underrated? That's something else, everyone knows about how he runs the Celtics and had lead them to the playoffs 2 years ago and plans to do it again. He's an all-star every year, so tell me this: Why do you think Pierce is underrated?
Paul Pierce is under-appreciated, but not underrated. Everyone knows what he does and that he is an all star. But he is not Kobe, he doesn't have the scoring titles or past numbers that T-Mac has, doesn't have a ring like Wade, doesn't have triple doubles or overall stats Bron has, and doesn't have the flash those other players have.
Paul Pierce is a player that doesn't get as much appreciation as he deserves but he isn't underrated. He has been consistently recognized as an elite scorer and player in the league and has been an all star many years. He has always been recognized as a great player in the league so he isn't that underrated. It's the same way with Gilbert ArenasPG- Andre Miller(Great up and comer who proved he can score and rack up assists)SG- Jason Richardson(Just known as a dunker when he also has a very nice offensive game also)SF- Gerald Wallace(Ahletic freak who can play both sides of the floor and fill up the stat sheet. Robbed of all defensive 1st team last season.)PF- Antwan Jamison(Can be a 20 and 10 threat every night but gets little recognition)C- Mehmet Okur(A good up and coming big man that can be a three point threat but not well known)
