    The other point of view is it was because McMillan couldn't speak Russian, which is actually a much easier language to learn than English is.

    I actually think that Monia did fairly well in the time he was.given and then started to lose favor with coach.

    Tied at 27. Monya (we used to spell it Monia) looks about 6 foot 6, not 6 foot 8. He's number 12, active like a guard, not a big man like Khryapa. First time I've watched him since he was a Blazer. It's the Bronze Medal game.

    Khryapa steals, Kirilenko makes a fancy layup. Ginobili misses his. Scola is ineffective. Russia's playing smarter with less talent. Schvad is like Sergio, a good helper.

    Delfino keeps missing, but Gutierrez keeps making his outside shots. Argentina has the size advantage, with Ginobili the playmaker. Kirilenko finally responds to the Argentine streak, two made shots.
