Rumors are everywhere. How fun will it be to have a VP that has received more votes for his budget in the last year than the sitting President has had for his budget in the last 3.5 years.

Great pick by Romney, if this is true.

    Romney needs a game-changer; Ryan would be a game-changer.

However, McCain needed and got a game-changer too.

Ryan will likely excite the base and turn off the swing voters, same as Palin. For different reasons, obviously.

Ryan's another Republican. Sounds like a horrible choice.

Guess we'll never know since those votes were cast by Republican POLITICIANS, not the citizens of America who overwhelmingly supported Obama every chance they've had.

Between Romney's tax fraud problems and America's hate for Ryan, this election is now a mere formality.

Democrats all voted against Obama's budget as well. It's been a bi-partisan denial of Obama's attempts at a budget. Good move by Romney to keep the focus on a lack of budget, and a failing economy, if this is true. Should be an interesting election, assuming Romney isn't charged in the death of Joe Soptic's wife.

Ryan will mop the floor with Biden in the debate. If the people care (which I think they will) about the economy, deficit, budget, and massive govt. debt, the businessman/budget expert might have a really good chance.

Yes, because Vice Presidential debates carry so much weight in an election. I for one was thrilled when Dukakis won in '88 by a landslide.

    From Ryan's Wikipedia page:

LOL I don't even care if that's true.

In college, he briefly worked for Oscar Mayer as a Wienermobile driver. He has never held any other real job and is a career brown-noser...er...politician.

Sounds like the exact reason Republicans claim Obama is unqualified.

You right-wingers might want to pick up a newspaper sometime this year. If you did you might realize your "failing economy" line is no longer supportable as we've been in recovery mode for about a year now. All signs point to Obama's moves to reverse the Bush Catastrophe, at least the ones not sabotaged by Congress, being close to genius.

What experience do Biden and Obama have in private business? I thought the complaint against Romney was that he was an out of touch business guy who had spent too much time in the private sector?

Seems like a good complement, if that is the issue. Plus, Ryan is going to run circles around Joe Biden, and frustrate Obama to no end.

Republican or not. He makes the ticket a more 'likeable' one. And economically, I think the tickets becomes a lot stronger. But will it matter in November?

He will indeed... to Obama. Medicare is going to be a little bit of a problem for Romney in Florida now.

For the second presidential election in a row, the Republicans nominate an unelectable "settle-for" candidate and then throw a hail mary VP selection that backfires.

Forget my disagreements with the GOP over political ideology, they just aren't very smart politicians.

    LOL

He will deliver the tea party vote. Plus he's quite fluent with policy speak, and generally good on his feet. We shall see.
