MLB Power Rankings: Detroit Tigers Still Hanging in There

The Washington Nationals are the hottest team in baseball, but did they overtake the top spot? Are the Detroit Tigers still in the top 10? Lets find out!

1. Washington Nationals (71-44)- The Nationals have been on a tear over this past week. Winning eight straight games before losing to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday. GM Mike Rizzo has made it clear Stephen Strasburg will pitch no more than 180 innings. But with the way Jordan Zimmermann has been pitching (4-0 with a 1.54 ERA since the All Star break) it might not matter if Strasburg is there in late September.

2. Cincinnati Reds (69-46)- After being one of the hottest teams in baseball, the Reds cooled down a little. At one point the Reds dropped six straight games but, they still sit a top of the NL Central with a 4.5 game lead over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
