Jay Bruce had been one of the few Cincinnati Reds who didn't produce in the absence of All-Star first baseman Joey Votto. He's trying to make up for lost time. Bruce connected for a three-run, opposite-field homer in the bottom of the ninth inning Tuesday night that sent the Reds over the New York Mets 3-0.
