Alex Song has just about been sold to Barcelona for €20m plus incentives. Song has apparently said his goodbyes on the training ground. The 24-year old spent eight seasons as a Gunner, two on loan and one away with Charlton Athletic. Song established himself as a holding midfielder but in recent years has progressed into a play-making midfielder with an eye for the fancy pass--a trait that wooed Barca.
Re: Alex Song won't dress for the game on Saturday, sale to Barca pending Does this make Ramsey our defensive midfielder? What does this mean for Coquelin and Frimpong?
Re: Alex Song won't dress for the game on Saturday, sale to Barca pending Jesu Christo! Frimpong plays a decent amount me thinks
Re: Alex Song won't dress for the game on Saturday, sale to Barca pending I think this is a terrible mistake from Song as well. He's a good player, but I don't think he's any where near Barcelona quality. They've got Busquets, Iniesta, Xavi to name a few, and there is no way Song is going to get consistent play time in the first-team at Barcelona. At least at Arsenal he would've play most games.
