Hopefully you do better than I did the first time I went to look at rings. I'd been reading up on what I should look for in a diamond. Couple that diamond focus with the fact that I was pretty nervous, and I forgot my now wife's name. True story -- next to the time I asked a college friend her due date when she wasn't pregnant, it was my most embarrassing moment. The sales person was just making small talk and asked my wife's name and I blanked for a solid two minutes (which, by the way, is an eternity in that situation.) lol

Congrats ABM. The less time someone is on this board, the better for their psyche. Plus, telling the new wife that you're an internet forum nerd may be a deal breaker. I'm sure we'll see you back in a few years after the honeymoon phase is over, and it's back to just watching TV at night.

EE is high quality and pretty much focuses on engagement/wedding rings. Way back when they were also a much better price than Tiffany's, which is uniformly high.
