Guard Eric Steinbach has decided to retire after sitting out all of last season because of a back injury. Steinbach, 32, signed a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins in July but missed considerable practice time during training camp because of health issues. Coach Joe Philbin announced Steinbach's retirement decision following practice Wednesday.
