Depth Chart coming out Today

The depth chart is coming out today and chip stated he would be naming the starting QB. Keep your eyes peeled!

 

Don't the majority of people think its going to be Mariota? What have the reports out of camp been on how they are playing?

Will Bennett transfer now?

 

I say, no.

Our QB's get hit a lot and he knows full well he's always just a ply away. Another reason is that if it was as close as appears, Mariota is on a fairly short leash. I also think with the first 4 games against tomato cans, Bennett will see good playing time and if he impresses there could be a switch before mid season.

 

Another thought on Bennett...

If he were to transfer, Arizona is ideal. They have Rodriquez and his spread, no decent QB...

 

Where is Carson York on this list?

I'm totally stoked about Mariota starting! I think Oregon got a rock star with this kid! He's going to be good!

 

They both seem small to me. How do they compare size wise to Darron Thomas?

The problem with transferring within the conference is that you don't get any scholarship money the year you sit out.

 

Really?? I didn't know that. But then again, many kids have loans and I'm sure a booster or two will step up and help him out with summer jobs paying $500/hr.

 

I know he's tall....... Hope he's solid enough to take all the hits this offense will throw his way.

 

I could be wrong, but I don't remember Thomas really taking too many big hits.

 

Thomas was elusive. And when Costa got hurt they protected him a bit moire with less direct runs.
