My mom is being moved from the hospital to the same place I'm at, matter of fact the room right next to me, tomorrow. It'll be the first time I've seen her since before Jan.
She is 88 soon to be 89, Oct 16, and legally blind. She takes coumalin, not sure of the spelling, for irregular heart beat, but other than that she is in good condition. She was at a appt for checking her levels because sometimes they will change the dosage and when she left is when this happen.
Or, PERS benefits could be reduced, and the driver could be fired for negligence. Nah, better just raise rates!
Jeezus Cristobol, how much worse can it get than a shattered leg for an elderly lady who takes Tri-Met for transportation? Wow. You need help, man.
Or, she should just take a pill, given her age.
2 months younger than JLPRK. I was watering her birthday flowers just 4 hours ago. I heard a voice warning me of an ogre. Your side could win and decimate Medicare. It could get a lot worse. She could be totally paralyzed in her last years from Parkinson's Disease. You're right. You got 10 bucks on you, man?
Please, guys, lets not turn this thread into a flame war or political debate. It was so great seeing my mom for the first time in months today, but so hard to see her in such pain. It just makes me sad.
They do give her pain meds and that helps, but if it is moved at all it's very painful and at times she'll just get a jab of pain even with the meds. She also don't like to ask for pain meds and will say she's ok when she isn't.
Mine was on morphine for 2 weeks in a Tokyo military hospital. Morphine is addictive and usually used only for hours or minutes, but that's all they had. The first memory I have is at age 2 years 8 months, when she stepped onto ice while carrying me and broke her ankle. She was pregnant and I still remember her lying in the snow. Anyway, I hope your lawyer is documenting the pain. Anyone who posts here is probably mental, so keep close tabs on this suspicious lawyer.
