Former Tennessee women's basketball coach Pat Summitt will receive the U.S. Tennis Association's Billie Jean King Legacy Award, which honors people who have helped change the global cultural landscape.

Summitt, the winningest coach in NCAA college basketball history, stepped down in April, less than eight months after revealing she had early-onset dementia.

It was so sad to hear of her medical condition. She was a great coach for Tennessee and a exemplary coach overall!
