41% 3 point shooter in a real offense? Kid rebounds ok too. He has a punchers chance

Stotts has said quite a bit that Portland is going to focus on scoring in transition and with the three point shot. On a team with Batum, Lillard and Matthews, he might still be the best perimeter shooter. Certainly the best off the bench.

Come to think of it, it's been a long, long, long time since I can remember Portland fielding so many high-quality three point shooters. It's going to be a little weird to not have an Andre Miller or Crash or Failton out there on the perimeter disrupting spacing.

He can't guard a chair, but he can shoot the ball a little bit, so he's got that. But I'm not sure I'd call him a "break out" candidate; he's just not going to play that much with all of the other guys vying for PT at the 4.

I must be the only Blazer fan who thinks that Babbitt is an overrated shooter. Unreliable. No good in the clutch. Cannot turn on the hot hand when needed.

They should have an empty chair on stage the whole DNC. If anyone ask who is in the chair, they reply: Osama Bin Laden.

When has Babbitt ever played in an NBA game where anyone could be considered "clutch" or not?

Last couple of games of last years regular season when he had the NBA 3pt title in his sight and kept bricking shot after shot. The team kept feeding him the ball and he, I felt, faded under the pressure.

With about 5 games left, he hadn't made enough 3s to make the top list of qualified players on NBA.com. He needed to make something like 5 of 20 in those last 5 games to lead the whole league. He needed to make 5 of anything to simply get onto the list.

He said, no problem. He then couldn't produce his own shots for a couple of games. So he just went for it and rained clanks for the rest of the season. Not only did he not lead the qualified list--he didn't even make the list.

He cannot make 3s simply on his own call, even when wide open. Sometimes yes, usually no. He feels the pressure like Martell Webster. Babbitt is a very overrated shooter.
