What I believe is the constitution gives people the right to Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness. Who am I, or YOU, to decide to disallow someone else's Pursuit of Happiness - especially when whatever they do has ZERO effect on me or you.
Unless we pay for a sex change operation. Some pay more into taxes and some receive more, like the prisoner. This tax relationship is not a 1-to-1 correspondence of payment to goods received. Therefore, you oppose taxes, insurance, gambling, the stock market, and the profit motive as socialist.
Taxes aren't voluntary. The rest of those things are, guaranteed by the 1st amendment right of freedom of association. Only a "liberal" or Progressive judge would find that NOT giving this prisoner this sort of ELECTIVE medical treatment is cruel and unusual punishment.
