"The Atlanta Hawks announced the signing of second round draft pick Mike Scott to a two-year deal that does include some guaranteed money. Hawks general manager Danny Ferry indicated via text message to Michael Cunningham that Scott will be a part of the team's 2012-13 roster. "Mike will be on the team this year," Ferry wrote in a text message. Scott figures to be one of the players that could benefit from the Hawks new efforts in player development.
