I guess it's all a matter of perspective, but I think it looks pretty slick. I definitely think it's distinctive in comparison to other courts, but not in an over-the-top way (ie, Matthew Knight Arena).
...that's for Jay-Z's special roped off VIP section that will feature a horseshoe shaped leather sofa, stripper pole, and a never ending fountain of Dom Perignon!

He just sprung for a new scoreboard five years ago, and it was already considered state of the art at the time. Doubt he's go for another one so soon, especially with the upcoming crappy season(s), and loss of revenue. BKLYN's court design looks sick, btw.
