Eric, I worked on Wall Street for a number of years. As a result, I was good friends with some old colleagues at Goldman who moved to Cantor Fitzgerald. Furthermore, my ex-girlfriend's father had a firm on the 102nd floor. Her dad was at a meeting, but her sister (his daughter) was killed. Finally, my college classmate and friend (I was in his wedding party) also worked for Cantor.

For those of us who worked in NY's financial community, my loss wasn't extraordinary.

I take Maxiep's name-dropping with a grain of salt. He knows famous economists. He used to know Obama. He had close friends die in the Lockerbie plane crash, so he hates Khadaffi. If Israel hates or likes someone, or wants the U.S. to fight the 4th proxy war for Israel in a decade, Maxiep does too.

It shouldn't surprise anyone. Maxiep either works for Mossad or is just a friend to large numbers of people, I don't know. He's probably the brightest guy here, but he's wrong. I respect his intelligence enough to avoid arguing with him because he'll win.
