That's fine. I just don't want ANY of my tax dollars going towards supporting abortion. (i.e. Planned Parenthood)
I said ANY. I'm all for the fence at the top of the hill, as opposed to the hospital at the bottom of it. In other words, education and protection (i.e.condoms) is relatively fine by me. That said, stay away from the abortions "biz".. It's my opinion.
If we're paying taxes for other health services, then absolutely some of it should go for abortions. As for the other stuff in this topic...my problem with the demos is that they spend WAY TOO MUCH for social programs. We CANNOT afford it!
Crandc, Run for office and I will vote for you twice! Im a white male so I think I can get away with it.
Paul's position is the federal government has no business regulating or legislating abortion. He is pro-life, and has proposed laws recognizing the fetus as human life. Though I am pro-choice, his views are not inconsistent with mine; I've explained it before. I would add that in the year before Roe v. Wade was decided, there were 500,000+ LEGAL abortions performed in the USA and the coat hanger scare myth totals was on the order of 60 a year. Paul is the victim of voter suppression. Go figure.
I would vote for her as well, but like Jon Huntsman, she is far too reasonable to have a chance of winning
I'm pretty sure crandc doesn't look to government to make her life easier, just a little bit fairer. In truth, government is all that stands between slaves and slavery, victims and murderers, laborers and unsafe jobs, sick people and incompetent doctors, gays and discrimination, OUR environnment and pollution...
