Man, the first half of the sesaon definitely is not that friendly to us. Atleast we'll have the games at home when it matters most... down the stretch, although that probably won't matter. I think if we struggle early (which is a definite possibility), AI will be out of Philly before the deadline.Anyways, here are my predictions:Atlanta-W@Orlando-LMiami-L@Indiana-L@Toronto-WDenver-W@Seattle-W@Phoenix-L@L.A. Clippers-LDetroit-L@Milwaukee-LChicago-W@Cleveland-L@Miami-LRecord: 5-9

We have a pretty tough 1st month so I don't see us doing to well. I'm doubting we go .500 in the 1st month.Atlanta-W@Orlando-LMiami-L@Indiana-W@Toronto-WDenver-W@Seattle-W@Phoenix-L@L.A. Clippers-LDetroit-L@Milwaukee-LChicago-W@Cleveland-L@Miami-LRecord: 6-8

Iverson will be on extra juice next season, because he all most got traded. Iguodala if he get's that consistant jumper next season it be better, and we also got a little better on D with Carney, and Jones. Sammy might break out I really think he can. So no the chances of that happening are not slim to none very possible. And what changes do you want? Do you wanna get raped in a deal for AI, and get crap in return? Billy King is doing the right thing wait until the seasons trade deadline, and then he will get more for AI. The worse thing he could do is trade AI right now unless he really get's a fair offer not like whats been offered before.

Serge is actually right. We should be a 6 or 7 team. We we missed the playoffs by an inch last year because of lack of defense. And we improved on that this offseason. And Louis Williams has improved. That should help. And like Serge said AI is gonna be hungrier than ever. This has to be the closest he has been to being traded. He knows the Sixers needs to go far and he will make the biggest effort he can to get them there.

The plan as of right now is to bring both of them off the bench, and it will take them time to earn minutes and adjust to the NBA game. Are they going to all of a sudden get CWebb to play defense? Nope. That is what is wrong with our defense. If we had a defensive minded power forward, or atleast one that could stick with his man and block shots, then the mediocre defense of Iverson and Korver wouldn't hurt as much. That is why the Dalembert-Hunter combination was so successful last season in those few games they played next to each other (when Webber was out). We might have picked up two solid defenders, but that will not change our team defense significantly, especially when you consider they won't be getting significant minutes.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>And what changes do you want? 6-8, is a reasonable guess, the Sixers have quite a hard schedule for this first month, although I can see them winning some meetings against teams such as the Cavs or the Pistons, with a star like Iverson anything's possible. However you guys being a six or seven seeded team is a ridiculous idea, Iverson needs more than Webber and Iguadola at his side to help him get back into the playoffs and the sixers just aren't providing this to him.

And I am not saying we are going to be very good, and even though we only got a little better on D we still can get as high as a 5th seat. Umm actually he came closer to getting traded that one year before they went to the finals when a player had to veto the trade for it not to go thru that is the only reason AI was not gone then. Also your right he will make a big effort, but he does that every year the gm needs to put D guys around him though, or no matter what AI does we won't be good if we don't have D.

You guys are vastly overrating the team in general, considering our only moves were drafting Carney and Jones, plus getting rid of Salmons.I can't blame you for being very optimistic, but sorry to say it just isn't going to happen.

I know they will both probably come of the bench even though I really think it is a good idea to start Carney with Iguodala. Then that way our D is better with the starters also a little not just of the bench. Your right they won't get Webber to all the sudden play D, but if the other 3 guys around C-Webb play D, and not just Iguodala then it can be better. Also before Webber could not really work out like he wanted to. So maybe he will be able to atleast keep up a little better with his guys. I know he is old, and with the knee problem he won't be playing D, but I am saying maybe after a season were he can work out like he wants to he would be able to keep up a little better with players atleast...........Also he did not promise a complete roster overhaul. He said the culture will change it could have been just moving Iverson one player not the whole roster. Or it could have mean trying to move Webber to the NY Knicks stupid gm. lol He could have even been talking about trading Sammy who they put a lot of money into. Why would teams offer more for AI during the season? Well let's see say a team is very good, and they think one extra move like getting AI can put them over the top to win a title. So they might decide to give up more of the future then they would right now. Like the Clippers for example..........Say they like the 4th best team in the Western Conference, and they are doing very good. They might think ok well if we trade for Iverson, and pair him with Brand we might actually have a chance to beat Dallas, or the Spurs. So they might decide to gamble, and give up more of the future for a chance now. Your right we are not getting good stuff back, because everyone knows AI is on the block. And even now when Billy King said he took him of the block he is still looking for deals probably, but I really think he would not mind waiting until the trading deadline during the season to try to get more then, or at very worse the same as he is getting now instead of getting a bad deal back for AI now. Also if we are playing bad next season, and were a bad team the offers for AI will get worse? Umm your for sure wrong on this unless AI is playing bad then your right. But if AI is playing amazing like he always does no matter what the team is doing it won't lower AI's trade value, because it's not his fault there not doing good. So how can his trade value go down unless he actually plays bad? So it does not make sence to do the trade now unless someone actually makes a offer that is fair. No matter how the team is playing during the up coming season if AI is still at the same level his trade value will actually go up when you compare them to now, because the teams who are close to contending will want to gamble to see if bringing in AI to say play with Brand would get them to actually beat the Spurs, or Dallas team. And if you really think we won't be a 6th, or a 7th seat next year in the playoffs you should really re think it. NJ will be up there great team I think they got a great shot to play Miami in the Eastern Conference finals. And the Raptors did get better, but I still think Sixers are a little better then the Raptors. But I am sorry what has Boston really done to get better? They could have had Foye they instead traded for Telfair. I have no idea why some Boston fans are happy when they could have had Foye who I think will be rookie of the year next year, or the runner up rookie of the year next year. Foye will be a very, very good player I think. And I also think people are overrating Telfair. Now I have not see him play really except a few minutes a few times, but people I think are overrating him.And why do you think the chemistry won't be better? I think AI, and Webber 1 extra year will be better of. And I really think Iguodala will come into that real #3 guy on the Sixers. He will grow with Webber, and Iverson. I really do think Iguodala will have that jumper added, and will be that 3rd guy. Yes we are not adding any real big free agents, but we not only don't have the money to spend more important there are no big free agents out there even if we had the money to spend. And trade I agree we won't probably make any big trades, but we can still get better by trade even if it's only a little better. And remember like 2 seasons ago first half the Denver Nuggets were out of the playoffs sucked, and then after all star break they went on a crazy run winning 20 out of the last 23 games, or something like that, and made the playoffs. So if we not doing good in the first half it does not mean we will miss the playoffs. Just like us doing great the first half don't mean we will make the playoffs. And I don't think just that will determine the fate of the Sixers for 5 to 8 years like you said. Just by how we do next season won't decide what happens for 5 to 8 years.

I hear what you're saying, but you guys are being WAY too optimistic about the upcoming season. There are many teams in the East that could keep us out of the playoffs. These are the teams that I think will have a better record than us at the end of next season (in no particular order):MiamiNew JerseyDetroitClevelandWashingtonChicagoIndianaMilwaukeeOrlandoBoston (possibly)So, us making the playoffs isn't guaranteed...

I agree you guys are being optimistic. We didn't really change the team at all and aren't heading in the right direction. We still have a weak bench and Carney and Jones aren't enough to help are defense. And yes AI will be playing with fire and intensity but since when has he not? There are a lot of teams on the rise in the East and we will have trouble making the playoffs this season. Luckily for us though there should be a killer lottery and we can get an awesome player from it.

But then again, with our luck we'll probably do good enough to get the 7th or 8th seed, and F*ck our lottery chances up the one year there is a good draft.

They will make the playoffs easy next season if AI is not traded.Let's see who will be in the playoffs in the Eastern Conference next season: Miami, NJ, Chicago, DET, Clevland.................Then after that it's a toss up. Orlando will be better. The Pacers if they get Al Harrington will have a chance to make the playoffs. Also the Sixers should make the playoffs if Iverson is still there. There are like 5 teams locked to make the playoffs in the Eastern Conference after that it's a toss up like I said. So it is not a ridiculous idea that the Sixers will make the playoffs at all.

Serge there is a lot of teams better than us this season in the East. These are off the top of my head...MiamiDetroitNew JerseyClevelandChicagoWashingtonOrlandoUs, Milwaukee, Boston, and Indiana are all questionable. One of those three teams could easily end up with a better record.
