After The Wall Street Journal reported last month that the new LeBron signature shoe would retail for $315, the cost of the shoes became a hot debate among the media and general public. As it turns out, the shoe, a version of the LeBron X, will be sold in a pack for $270, Nike spokesman Brian Strong confirmed to ESPN.com on Thursday. Still overpriced for a pair of shoes. $300 or $270 what is the difference in the extra $30 when you are already to that point? Even I was younger and still playing in college, I wouldn't have spent that amount of coin on a pair of shoes. Who said we were in a recession, because clearly they were wrong because overpriced or not, people will still buy these things.
