    Of course not.

If you read S2 you'll see that Bush had nothing to do with anything.

    ANY.THING.

He had a lot to do with making govt. a lot bigger.

He had a lot to do with his education bill (no child left behind)

He had a lot to do with spending a vast sum of money on a prescription drug program for medicare without paying for it.

He had a lot to do with cutting taxes on EVERYONE, the rich got a lesser tax cut (%-wise) than the lower brackets did.

If you actually are factual in what you say he did, you might find some agreements.

    Agree to disagree.

    You can't sugarcoat shit.

You can make it look pretty but it's still shit.

Um, duh? that's what ALL blaming of him is about? It's just easier to truncate it ;)

wait, were you saying those were positive things? Or just a few of those could be positive?

NCLB is a horrible program, and the spending $$ on prescription dugs w/out paying for it isn't positive either.

Nope. None of those things were meant as sarcasm.

I'd add that he tried to nation build in Afghanistan and Iraq, instead of leaving when it was "mission accomplished."
Though I'd also add that Clinton used military in Kosovo, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Sudan, Haiti, and about a half-dozen other places.

Bush also had A LOT to do with allowing the low-income loan/redline bans to continue, which created the housing bubble.

That lies of the feet of Bush, Clinton, and both parties, except for a few GOP members like Paul Ryan who were sounding alarm bells as far back as the late '90s.

There are plenty of things to blame on Bush, and IMO, his continued allowing of the housing bubble to keep expanding until it popped is the worst mistake of his presidency.

I didn't vote for him either time, but I'm not an unhinged hater about President Bush. Please explain the specific policies that support your contention. And describe how his presidency was so much worse than others. My guess is you'll just obsfucate and deflect, however, becuase it's what you feel and not what you think.

OK let's go down the list of things that I know off the top of my head:

The Patriot Act allows a person to be arrested without a warrant and held for as long as the Gov't wants. This Nullifies the 4th amendment.

As does the FISA bill which allows ALL of our phones to be wiretapped WITHOUT a warrant.

Ignored the Geneva Convention and committed war crimes by TORTURING people who are in Guantanamo Bay. Since info garnered form torture cannot be used in a court of law, he left hundreds of prisoners in a place and they cannot be prosecuted.

He received a daily briefing titled "Bin Laden determined to strike inside US" (and was told about Bin Laden from Clinton) MONTHS before it happened and did NOTHING.

Flew Bin Laden's family members OUT of the US on Sept 13th. A day when air traffic was COMPLETELY shut down and even his daddy couldn't fly

Removed troops from Afghanistan and sent them to a country that did nothing to us. This was all based on a LIE.

Don't even get me started about Iraq. My cousin was there. I can thank Obama that he is home now...

Put a HUGE mission accomplished banner and said that major combat operations were over... We were at war there for 8 YEARS after....

Had Osama Bin Laden CORNERED in the Mountains of Tora Bora. When his commanders on the ground asked for a squad to cut off his escape they were DENIED. Because of this Bin Laden escaped.... (let that one sink in)

Passed Medicare part D which was COMPLETELY unpaid for and not even in the budget. This singlehandedly created the doughnut hole.

Passed tax cuts for all Americans. I, as a middle classer get $300 measly dollars a year while millionaires get over $250K. These were also unpaid for and added TRILLIONS to our deficit.

Completely deregulated Wall Street. How did that one turn out? yeah...

At the time he went out of office we were losing 750K jobs per month and the market was trading UNDER 7000.

Put Samuel Alito on the SCOTUS.... HUGE

Appointed Alberto Gonzales as Attorney General. Gonzales oversaw VERY questionable US attorney dismissals and the NSA's warrantless wiretapping before eventually resigning in disgrace.

Started the Bank Bailouts with a 3 page piece of Legislation. If that wasn't a stick up what is?
"Under our proposal, the Federal government would put up to 700 Bil taxpayer dollars on the line" ~ George W. Bush

Refusing to let Katrina ruin his holiday. Hurricane Katrina hit towards the end of his long summer VACATION. His immediate response was not to view the damage personally, but at five miles high through the window of Air Force One on his way back to Washington. (SHAMEFUL...)

Religiously used a teleprompter (Obama gets smacked for using one) but could BARELY put 2 sentences together (OK I'm exaggerating but still).
"You teach a child to read, and he or her will be able to pass a literacy test." ~ George W. Bush

Obama gets blamed for 6 Tril of debt under his watch. But the truth is, Bush's wars and Drug plan were NEVER on the books. Obama put them there so now it LOOKS like he has ran up 6 Tril when really it's more like 3.

Now this is just off the top of my head. If I sat and thought and did more research I could find MUCH MORE.

    Oh and also:

Underestimating the cost of the war.

Like a contractor's ever-inflating estimates of a home renovation, Bush's original $50-$60 billion price tag on the Iraq war sounds like a steal now.
The current cost is over 800 Billion.

Oh and No Child Left Behind? That was another Unfunded mandate where he basically gave his brother a no bid contract. Neil Bush makes testing materials.
And that program made him hundreds of Millions of dollars.

EVERY child was left behind with this program.

I'll pick a random sample of things you posted and see how they fit reality.

Patriot Act passed the House 357-66, and the Senate 98-1. It was Bush's fault!

FISA was introduced in the Senate in 1977 by Ted kennedy and passed the Democratic Party controlled House and Senate. It was signed into law by James Earl Carter.

Bill Clinton had a shot at getting Bin Laden. The Sudanese offered to hand him over, but Clinton decided it would be best if he were deported to Saudi Arabia. Oops! That's Bush's fault, too.

Deregulated Wall St? He signed Sarbannes-Oxley in 2002, and Dodd-Frank in 2008.

Bin Laden's family allowed to leave? Yep, they left on Sept. 20th, not the 13th as you claim. http://web.archive.org/web/20040529013533/http://www.hillnews.com/news/052604/clarke.aspx

The cost of the wars? Obama has spent more per year on the two wars, war on terror, and defense budget than Bush did. And the defense budget was ~$500 - ~$700B over the Bush years, or something on the order of $5T to $7T. It might have been roughly the same without the wars.

    http://www.cbpp.org/cms/index.cfm?fa=view&id=125

Oh yeah, the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002 passed the Senate by a 77-23 vote and the House by a 296-133 vote - it was bipartisan.

    And lies? See: http://articles.latimes.com/2008/jun/16/opinion/oe-kirchick16

    And: http://www.snopes.com/politics/war/wmdquotes.asp

Eric Holder has lied to congress and been found in contempt of congress. Blame Bush for that?

I submit he's been every bit a disgrace as Gonzales.

As for the rest? Sour grapes, because your side lost.

Bin Laden's family committed no crimes. But I'm sure you'll accuse them of treason as you do just about anyone else.

You know that we don't put a murderer's family to death because of that person's deed.

The FBI and other intelligence agencies had been watching them for years and they had no problem giving the OK to let them go home.

Lol, the Sudan rejected our request to send Marines in to protect our embassy.

I say we cut off their humanitarian aid.
