It appears though that even Republicans became increasingly alarmed as Bush's terms progressed, but most people think Presidential power is okay if it's used in THEIR best interests, and most prefer it to congressional power which they know is bought and paid for.

    I prefer solar power.

Then again, that's a Gallup poll so it's pretty meaningless.

All I take away from that graph is that when it's my guy in the white house, no there isn't too much power, but the second the other guy shows up..yes there is too much power!

Seems to be a pattern for Obama's America. Americans having to go into hiding because the President singles them out as targets and for blame.

What's ironic about this is that Zag's anti-Mormon rants (along with a few other people's) incite no reaction from anyone, even when the few LDS members here tell them it is offensive and inaccurate.

Sounds similar to Bush's america, where americans were hiding out because of their religion, antagonized and called terrorists. The more things change.....

Really. Who were these private citizens mentioned by Bush?

With Obama, I can think of the white Cambridge police officer, George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin, and now this filmmaker, who all received death threats (and whoese families also went into hiding in the latter two cases) who were all called out individually by the President.

I'll be waiting on the specific cases of the Bush era where US citizens had the media come down on them after Bush mentioned them.

I don't understand all the fuss . . . but I'm not one who usually feels bad for convicted felons, especially one who steals 800K. The guy isn't even allowed to use the internet during probation . . . he is not a good guy. I say fuck him every legal way you can!

What is this supposed to mean aside from more intolerance? Is that typical of the left?
