    With Kaleb as our defensive coordinator, Hickson, five rookies in our regular rotation, two of them Euro's and last but not least, the potential of A_am Morrison getting any playing time, how could anyone think otherwise?

    About defense, it says that Gerald Wallace was tops, Batum's nowhere near as good, Jeffries is good, and Dickson sucks.

    Wallace got too much criticism last year.

    No, that shit is gone. This team might actually be built on real defensive principles. It will just take a year or two to get there

    Last year doesn't mean shit in determining how this year's D will be. But I would not hold my breath on being a good defensive team this year.

    I think Lillard, Wes, Nic, and LMA all have potential to play good "team D" , but knowing how the Refs treat rookies, I see them giving Leonard ZERO respect. He will not stay on the court.

    And I agree the bench looks weak on D. But Barton, Smith and Jefferies could be OK. Hickson could be good as well if he can be coached. He has the athleticism/body for it.

    I expect us to have a poor offense, that will give the opponents less possesions and make our PPG allowed appear mediocre even though from an efficiency standpoint we may be the worst.

    Seems like the media always ranks defense by PPG.

    I can't remember when we had a PG was was even an average defender. Lillard will definitely be above average (but not necessarily this year), which will be big for our team defense.

    Andre Miller is the obvious answer, although not everyone will agree. Before that, Greg Anthony and Scottie Pippin? Surely, I'm forgetting someone in between. (And I don't mean a Damon sandwich.)

    With Stotts as Head Coach? It's possible.

    However, his former teams (as head coach) ranked near the bottom in defense.
