What do I say? Do I lie and say it wasn't my fault? Never done it. I've heard it works though. I got popped for going 83mph in a 65mph in Wasco County (BFE) and just wasn't paying attention. Just going with the flow of traffic. The car in the next lane was going the same speed, nose to nose with me. The cop decided on pulling over the nicer car, probably figuring that I could afford the ticket. Any ideas of what to say?
plead guilty, pay the fine and go to traffic school. cheaper than having the points on your insurance.
plead not guilty when you get a court date, reschedule repeat if possible day of court show up early and try to work something with the DA hope the cop doesnt show up at the rescheduled court date profit or just pay the ticket and save yourself the trouble
I say, kick back, write the check and feel great about helping to fund the big government you so badly want.
Plead guilty with an explanation. Write a short letter apologizing, explain that you understand it was your fault but lost track of your speed because you were going with the flow of traffic and you were not weaving in and out of lanes or driving carelessly or recklessly. Point out your good driving record to show you do not do this often and explain all the costs you have in your life and that would appreciate a reduction in the fine. Expect a 20% reduction
Say it was a medical emergency. You saved your Aunt's life. Pay off some stripper to attend Court and portray your Aunt. Warn her not to try any shenanigans under the table during the proceedings.
Tell the judge that you're a community organizer and you were late for a committee to re-elect Obama meeting. Oh, wait....Wasco County. Never mind.
