That can't be, or the candidate would be Rick Perry or Newt or Michele Bachmann or Herman Cain or Santorum. Any of those would have been even more hilariously bad. barfo
Sure, history is good. But you can't control the media today in the same way Hitler did, so I don't think your example works. barfo
It was sarcasm, a joke, being a smart ass, whatever you would like to call it. Romney was a bad choice, just as the above candidates. And I used my sarcasm to suggest I know what "false flag operations" are.
Well, good for you. Without understanding how it worked back then, I don't think you can compare it to today. So I'm not sure how you can say my example doesn't work. Unfortunately, as I mentioned earlier, I don't give a shit about politics, and I don't care to explain and educate you on this. Nothing personal. I stated my opinion. You disagree - it's totally cool. It's just we're screwed with the current admin, and we're screwed with the potential new admin. So I just don't care. It's clear you're probably more into this whole political shenanigans than I am, and for that, I envy you. I wish I could say I cared more. But the system is so fucked I just can't care.
Why do you assume I don't know anything about it? No problem on not wanting to explain your position. As for politics, in my view it is entertaining, not so different from sports, except there are fewer teams and more of the players are insane. barfo
For one, you asked how you control the media. And then you, in other words, simply called me, "wrong". Like I said, I don't really care. I disagree. I'm not going to call you wrong because a lot of it is simply opinion, perspective, conjecture. If you're pro-Obama, you're certainly going to disagree, which would make me "wrong" from your perspective. Agreed on politics. It's entertaining. But the fact some of us use it for entertaining without really caring about the results is frightening (which is what I do). It's just proof of how ridiculous the entire political system truly is. I find it very entertaining. I just don't have a team that I root for. Ultimately, they're all out for themselves, they're all dishonest to certain levels, etc.
I don't know that I was calling you wrong so much as trying to learn how you thought Obama was controlling the media. But there's no rule that you have to tell me if you don't feel like it. No big deal. barfo
Does anyone else find that flag creepy? It reverses the relationship between country and elected leader, putting Obama above the country rather than serving it. Like I said in another thread, there is a cultish behavior by his supporters that don't think twice about creating items like this flag.
I find those creepy as well. IMO, you don't mess with the American flag (although I defend the right of those who choose to burn it). At least those all still have stars. And for the record, there is a "Grant & Colfax" intersection a mile or so from my house.
That one doesn't offend me as much. It's a comment that corporations are taking over the country. It wasn't made by those corporations. It's art; disrespectful art, but art nevertheless. What does the Obama flag say to you?
I don't really get bothered by things like that. Politicians like to be seen surrounded by patriotic symbolism. Can you imagine what people would say if there were no US flags on Obama's site? "I was just looking at Obama's reelection website and he didn't have one US flag on there. He hates America!"
Is it really that much different than this? $20 and you can bring that bad boy home! http://store.mittromney.com/jobs-mitt-illustration-poster.html
$30 and you can have this take on the stars and stripes http://store.mittromney.com/vintage-collection-eagle-icon-heather-gray-tee.html
