AM 570 which is a reliable source, reported about an hour ago that the latest rumor of trade talks with the Hawks and Lakers are involving the Lakers trading Andrew Bynum, Smush Parker, a 1st round draft pick and some money to the Hawks for Al Harrington. They also mentioned Golden State and another team trying to work a 3 team deal for Harrington. I dont know about you but that offer is just horrible for us.Especially to give up bynum and a 1st rounder with smush,I don't like it.I know there were rumors about this on hoopsworld a couple days ago but hoopsworld is the most unreliable basketball source on the internet so I didn't post anything about that, but since I heard this on AM 570 I figured it deserved to mentioned. If this deal goes through mitch kupchak will be known as the gm that traded shaq AND bynum [IMG] But I'll be realistic,I dont see Bynum being the next shaq or great center on the NBA.But I do see him becoming an all-star in the future.Weather he,smush and a first rounder is worth Harrington..it's hard to say but this would benefit both the Lakers and Hawks.Even though IMO the Hawks would be getting the better deal.

Harrington rumors have been around for months. And there's no way this deal is going through. He's way too similar to Odom, and he wouldn't even start (unless LA goes back on their word and doesn't start Radmanovic). Bynum, Smush, and a first rounder can get more than Al Harrington.

The Hawks are still shopping Harrington around from what the league is saying. I don't think the Lakers need another Lamar Odom type of player in Al Harrington. They can both play the 3 or 4, but I think the Lakers need a legit Power Forward, not a combo forward.

If that's true PF11, I'm worried. I do not want Al Harrington in a Lakers uni in exchange for Bynum, Smush, and especially not a draft pick.

I like Harrington but I think we would be giving up too much. People whine and cry about Kobe not having enough help. We could get help now but not for later. We would be absolutley giving up on the future getting rid of a 1st and Bynum plus our current starting PG? Way to much of the team if you ask me. If we were dwellers in the league like the hawks or something then I wouldn't mind doing it but we were a rebound away from going on to the next round in the playoffs last year.

Bynum, Smush and a 1st for Harrington wouldn't work... it doesn't make cap.Mihm, Smush, and maybe a 1st for Harrington. You have a deal.

I think this would be a terrible trade. As much as I like Harrington, we don't need another SF. Right now the lakers are loaded with SF and PG. Lamar doesn't really like playing the PF position but it looks like that's where he is going to play at some point next season (depending on how quickly Radmanovich can learn the Triangle). The Lakers don't need this trade. They need to get rid of some of our baggage at the PG (Aaron Mckie) and find a defensive animal at the PF spot.

I'm new here so just bare with me haha. I'm very torn betwen liking this trade and not liking it. On the one hand Bynum looked terrible in the summer league. I went and watched and he was soft, slow, and confused. But, on the other hand he's not even 20. So The lakers have to figure out if they want to take a risk on getting rid of possibly the NBA's future great center for a player who is exactly simialr to Lamar. I have no idea what to do in this situation!

i don't get it, there's no room for harrington. they already have lamar odom, they just got vlad, kwame will play some 4. And this makes LA even weaker at pg.
