    Can you blame him?

The righties had a VERY tough week.

With all that doom and gloom, I'd be loopy as well.

Dear Haak, are you prime physical condition? Are you the healthiest you can be? Do you want people to stop voting for repulicrats? Two of these things you have control over.

the only way it will ever change is if someone convinces just 2 people, then those 2 people convince 4 people, and so on.

keep beating the drum haak, nobody is refuting the fact, only purporting the act to be futile

No, I disagree with his "fact" I used to think the same way, but Obama has quite different policies than Romney. To shout and whine about them being all the same is a waste of time and untrue.

This election, and all of American politics, is about incremental change. We aren't having an Arab Spring here. So, yes, Obama and Romney are both bipedal humanoids. That doesn't mean there isn't a difference between them, just that it is a bit more subtle than 'which one is the alien'? (in the outer space sense, we know which one is from Kenya).

Is that a true cover? If the NR did do that, couldn't the people who were holding up signs sue for libel?

well, they would have to state that they are against abortion I suppose. i don't know how it could be construed as being libelous.

well, considering they were holding up signs that said "forward" and not "abortion", that is by definition libel.

Oh, you need a remedial course in what libel is?

a : a written or oral defamatory statement or representation that conveys an unjustly unfavorable impression

b (1) : a statement or representation published without just cause and tending to expose another to public contempt (2) : defamation of a person by written or representational means

that's pretty much a cut and dry case here, junior.

...the false right-left paradigm only offers a facade that there is a "choice". The bigger, more important, picture(s) will continue down the same relative path regardless of "different policies" -- unfortunately.

It's not libel. For a number of reasons.

It's not defamatory. It's not unjustly unfavorable. It's political cartoonery and/or satire. There is an incredibly tough standard for Libel against a public figure (and Obama is THE MOST public of figures). And the truth is ultimately the best defense against a libel claim.

Why would anyone who's pro choice be offended by the photo?

Because pro choice is not interchangeable with pro abortion.

I don't know what's worse, that you asked that actually trying to make a point, or that there are morons out there who think pro choice is the as being a proponent of abortion
