    Yeah, it makes me sick...my best friend from high school went to Iraq. He stopped responding to calls and emails a few years ago and it makes me nervous as heck. Those were bad wars.

    Denny, while I often disagree with you, you almost always have a rational basis for what you say, but your last post is ridiculous.

    As I recall from the NPR article this morning the rate has recently climbed above the general population's rate.

    But yes, it is higher than the general public. It's surprising considering how much higher the unemployment rate is for the military as well.

    I think it's fair to blame Obama and the millions of foreclosures that occurred on his watch and in spite of massive spending and deficits, if people can (and did) blame W for suicides in the military.

    I think what's more important is that there are serious issues facing people of all walks of life that need to be addressed.

    Sure. I think people losing their homes, kids graduating college unable to find jobs are likely to be seriously depressed. It sucks, don't it?

    And I CAN blame Obama for it. He gave vast sums of money to the banks so they could buy other banks.

    The BofA/Merrill Lyncy merger that's in the news today because of a settlement was voted on Dec. 5, 2008 and the merger agreement would've been signed well before that. So Bush's hands weren't clean either. That said, I think this whole thread was meant to be a parody and it's probably a waste of time to discuss any of it anyway.
