Roger Ailes must have been a staunch Republican. Because, I'm sure the 6 or 7 major media news outlets all got together and conspired to be left wingers. Or, maybe they aren't as left wing as Republican's want to believe because it flies in the face of what they want to believe is true. I've casually watched Fox News for about 20 minutes a day since last election. About the most respect they've given Obama since he became President is call him President Obama, instead of Obama, before they lay into some game of charades about how he's an awful socialist. Michelle Malkin, O'Reilly, Coulter, Hannity, Ingraham...Really? Fair and Balanced? Their best representation of a point of view from the left has been Colmes. He's a puppet.
If you push the extreme agenda so far to the right, what was once a moderate republican moves to what used to be far right. So yeah, compared to Fox News the rest of the media has a "liberal bias", but thats because Fox News is so far right on the political spectrum that pretty much everything else is, by default, "liberal".
Seriously, you don't know who Roger Ailes is? Wow. Um, he did a few things before FOX News. Also, you should differentiate between FOX's News portion and their opinion. I think their Sunday show is the best on television. Perhaps only Candy Crowley goes after each side equally as hard as Chris Wallace.
As a former DLC Democrat, I could say the mirror image exists. Barack Obama's policies bear no resemblance to the party to which I used to belong. I think FOX is less to the right than MSNBC is to the left.
Being serious here, how many news shows does Fox News have vs "commentary" shows? I think MSNBC has what...-1 real news shows and everything else is commentary. Which shows on Fox are actual news news and not commentary?
My wife (who watches way more TV than I can) says that there's "Happening Now", "America Live w/Megyn Kelly", "Fox Report w/Shepherd Smith" and "Bret Bayer" as a news bloc from about 9am-4pm or so (EST) and 6-8pm (Fox Report). Then you have the O'Reilly's, Hannity's, Gutfelts, etc. I've seen the Gutfelt round table a few times and they have Bob Beckel on there who does a decent job arguing from the liberal/progressive point of view. Of course he's outnumbered, and frequently shouted at by what some might call "Republican Eye Candy", but he's pretty salient (and nothing like Colmes, who halfheartedly would attempt to argue with Hannity). And sometimes Juan Williams (not what I would call a neocon) sits in for O'Reilly.
Your wife tells you this yet you somehow know the unusual way that Megyn Kelly spells her name....Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight... Someone's been doing some google image searches.
She pulled the titles of the shows up on the DirecTV guide when I asked her. It really isn't that difficult.
Yeah like create GOP TV..... er FOX? http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...t-the-gop-on-tv/2011/07/01/AG1W7XtH_blog.html
