Looking to pick up something by Black Friday. The Lady and I are going to NYC in January to visit my family, but also she's only been to NYC once and that was only for a day. I've never really been one to use anything other than a cellphone to take pictures, but I'd like to get a nice, cheap ($100-$150) camera for this trip. Any suggestions?

Out of your price range, but worth the extra $$ IMO. I have the S95 and love it. It takes amazing pics and video. By far the best pocket camera I've ever owned.
