By the way, the corporate tax there is lower than the States'. Last I checked it was 26.3%. Oh, you'll LOVE the 25% VAT (aka MOMS).
You have an interesting outlook: You seem to view what government system is best based on how it benefits you the most. Ironic, given your desire for everyone to share. I guess as long as others are sharing more than you, you think it's cool. In contrast, I want everyone to have opportunity. However, I don't think giving people things is the way to go; they should earn them. Regardless of whether you drink or not, would you like to live in a country where the amount of booze you can purchase for your own consumption is limited? Personally, I prefer freedom.
yes the freedom of america, where you can legally have your door kicked in with no explanation to you our your family, be hauled out with a bag over your head and detained and tortured indefinitely with no charges or reason given, where the government can spy on your phone calls and read your emails...but feel free to drink all the poison you want!
Why do you think I supported the Patriot Act? Ah...because you can't conceive of anyone but a cardboard cutout.
i never inferred such a thing, i was only pointing out your hilarious bumper sticker mentality...funny how you are now in turn inferring a non truth about me though, as is your usual tired shtick freedom! yawn
Golly, if only I could think with the depth and levels of gradation and complexity as you. One day, with enough work, I may come close. In the meantime, I'll keep reaching for that rainbow!
good luck with that, in the meantime, you can go buy 100 cases of schnapps and drink them all at once! freedom!
I like Heinlein's quote: "The democracy will cease to exist when the people realize they can vote themselves tea and circuses."
"To be matter-of-fact about the world is to blunder into fantasy - and dull fantasy at that, as the real world is strange and wonderful." Robert A. Heinlein
democracy is 2 wolves and a sheep deciding what to have for dinner i also like this one from franklin "he who gives up liberty to obtain safety deserves neither."
When did you live in or visit Sweden? Compared to yours, perhaps. You carry boxes all day. It would be a step down for many.
Perhaps, an even bigger step down to portray yourself as a Stanford grad to a bunch of strangers on the internet, when you're really not. Your insufferable prick routine never gets old, though. As soon as you found out I work for UPS you've loved trying to make fun of me for that? Is it the fact that union sap can make more than a guy with a fake Stanford degree?
i dont get the disdain for blue collar workers coming from some neocons, although it seems to be working for romney so swimmingly!
