here are the statscareer - pp-g - rp-g - ap-g - sp-g - fg% - 3pt% career bestpp/gReggie 18.2 -- 3 -- 3 -- 1.08 - - .471 -- .395 -- 24.6 (89-90)Ray -- 21.1 -- 4.6 -- 3.9 -- 1.26 -- .447 -- .399 -- 25.1 (05 -06)both have gold medals, both have citenship type awards , ray has won the 3pt shootout, reggie has been to the finals. Both are 5 time allstars.Now who is better? who would you want on your team?Most people consider reggie to be a no brainer for the HALL of fame, will ray get in there too?
Even with those stats, Reggie's clutch shooting makes him better than Ray Allen.Reggie is also better at drawing fouls and and moving without the ball. Ray Allen is a good player but he isn't a Hall of Famer.
Reggie's clutch shooting and movement without the ball makes him a better player than Allen is. Allen mostly just shoots well.

Yes reggie was better at getting to the lin - nearly 100 more times a season.I think people get short sighted about players currently playing and get hung up on old ones. Kobe is one of the all time greats!!!! but people dont appreciate what they are seeing- they will in 10-15 yrs time but right now they dont .i think the same is happening here. I dont see what make RM that much better.also as far as cluth goes - come play off time ray has better averages in pts reb ass 24.9 / 4.8 / 4.8 and reggie goes up in pts but down in ass and reb.it that clutch?
Reggie Miller all the way. Miller is more clutch and valueable shooting. ON shooting Miller gets the small edge
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Reggie's clutch shooting and movement without the ball</div>
Yeah, Ray Allen gets all of his points off his outside shooting, have you guys ever watched him play? Ugh. Reggie Miller should NOT be in the hall of fame.
Ray Allen. He was more of an athlete, and could score in different ways. All Reggie was good at was shooting, and getting points by shooting. Ray can take it in. He is good with the ball. So I would rather have him as a player.
Both players specialty is shooting and I really cant choose which one is better at it. Ray Ray is better at getting to the bucket and overall a better offensive player. Saying that, reggie miller is one of the most clutch players in NBA history. I think that is the sole reason I would take him over Ray Allen. Also, his team always seemed to have good seasons. Whether he had more help than Ray Allen does or not, he was a better winner and a more clutch player. I would take him.
Ray Day is Coming! u should already know this-Reggie is better at defense cause he draws the defender-He is the best off the ball shooter from 3-what else........ alright a very good shooterNow ray- Is just as good as reggie 3point shooting- MucH!!!!! better scorer- Can attack the rim and slash (u blind ray haters that say he cant, need to watch him play)- Defense isnt that horrible he is a sneaky at gettin steals at times<-- does not mean he is a good defender but thats the reason he has over 1 spg last season- Passes the ball better ( not much better but yes)-Better rebounder-blocked iverson and i have the photo to prove itIF reggie goes to the hall of fame with ray going to pass his 3 pont record... Everyone related to the voting is a bunch of dumbasses or redneck car jackers. I like reggie a lot but he doesnt deserve the hall of fame.. now if he got a ring with his one sided great skill then maybe...
-yeah!!!!Its amazing how many Ray haters there!!! especily because he is such a nice guy. Everyone talks about ray is not a clutch playercheck thishttp://www.82games.com/random12.htmshow ray ray is one of the best with the game on the line

They only reason kobe might get pass mj is because he took time off!
now when i made that list up there, did it seem like i was talking about the only reason ray is better than reggie is because Ray day is commin. thats not why, ppl on here dont read. theres a reason that statement was at the bottom and had to deal with the HALL OF FAME not really why ray is better than reggie. bad argument?..... i know ur smart wade23and i noticed ppl are taking my Arcade championships....

He might get a little sympathy voting, but it'll be tough for him to get in.However, the reason he'll be voted into the Hall of Fame is his clutch shooting. Ya, I saw the 82games thing. However, Ray Allen did not make it happen in the playoffs. Or, more specifically, he never got his team to the Finals, and didn't get them deep enough consistently enough. Plus, Reggie rivalry with the Knicks is the stuff of legend. Who can't remember his 25 points the fourth quarter against them? Or the 8 points in 13 seconds? Quite simply, Allen is a scorer and shooter, and he's very good at both. But he can't replace Reggie Miller.
Give me Reggie Miller but it's alot closer than it seems. I always thought of Miller as a one dimensional player, He doesn't pass well, Doesn't rebound well, Doesn't play defense that often. If Allen had actually lead his team somewhere my decision would change.
On my team in the clutch i would say reggie of course and playing against the knicks always reggiebut i'd rather have ray on my team in any other condition. who needs a last minute shot if u didnt produce enough in the begining to keep ur team there. and reggie has had better support on every changed roster he has been on. MOST importantly big man support to get him them screens. Jermaine oneal Dale davis Rik smits A.davis and other notables. HOwever when or if it comes down to the wire Reggie can create shots for himself in the clutch.. as much should know from those knicks games. I dont know bout yall but i cant trust that onesided sh*t unless u have the right support and reggie had that support to help get his team to those type of winning situations.Ray led the bucks to the East championships with the sixers. wit cassell and glenn robinson and that was really just a very good offensive team. The big man support was not great besides big ass anthony mason.I'm suprised i didnt think about those knicks games though and those are memorable. Good kid moments, thats hall of fame status from what i saw years ago. Other than that just OneSided to me. Robert horry should go to the hall of fame for his BIG clutch shots lol.....

You don't need me to tell you that Reggie has gone far past that many, many times. And Miller and Allen are franchise players, it's their job to lead the team. Obviously, they need support, but it's not like their teams were that different. For example, the first time Reggie got to the ECF (1994), he had Rik Smits (16 PPG), Dale Davis (12 PPG), and Derrick McKey (12 PPG). When Allen got to the the ECF for the first (and only) time, he had Glenn Robinson (22 PPG), Sam Cassell (19 PPG), and Tim Thomas (13 PPG). In short, they had about the same support, if not Allen having better support. Miller had consistently gotten to the playoffs and gotten deep, while Allen has not.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Robert horry should go to the hall of fame for his BIG clutch shots lol.....</div>Horry is no better than a role player. Miller was a franchise player. That's why the latter is going to the Hall of Fame, and the former isn't.
i was talkin about big man support that gives reggie miller those screens.... just factoring ppg aint nothin

Allen is also one of the best shooters of all time, and he could probably pass Reggie in the record books for 3 pt makes. And considering that was all Reggie was good at, Ray is athletic, he can drive, sort of rebound, and also he is a decent passer. And also consider that Ray has a better lifetime ppg average by about 3, and Reggie has never scored what Ray scored last year. Also, Ray is a better defender then what Reggie was.
