He's controlling the flow of the debate , thats for sure. I think it's a safe bet that Romney won the first debate. I dont think it'll make a huge difference either way though, but Obama didn't sway anyone. PapaG is probably sporting wood though.
You can tell the talking points that each drilled on during their prep. Obama is a very different guy when there's no teleprompter. Romney's used to standing on chairs and coolers and tables and whatever else is handy (no teleprompter). I don't see Obama's making a case for anything, really. Again, Romney has the easier job.
Romney is much more well spoken than I anticipated. Also think he is doing a good job going with the flow of the debate . . . coming across natural and not stiff.
I think an economic debate is Romneys strong point (and Obama fed into it). I don't know what the other two debates are on, but I hope they're less boring.
both have provided rambling answers. That's the worst part about debates. Instead of asking 1 question and answering it, they ask multi-layered questions and allow non-answer answers.
