    MINNEAPOLIS – UFC lightweight Jeremy Stephens might not be be competing at tonight's UFC on FX 5 event.

    MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) has learned the Minneapolis Police Department arrested the hard-hitting lightweight this morning. He's being held without bail at the Hennepin County Public Safety Facility.

    Official records indicated Stephens was detained in relation to an out-of-state felony charge. However, police officials could not offer specifics to the case. Representatives for Stephens didn't return messages.

    According to DFW, the UFC was working all day to try and get this resolved so he could fight as scheduled. No dice.

    Fight was canceled just 45-minutes out from the event. DFW agreed to a huge sum of money for bail and to have police escort him in and out of the building, and right back to jail after the fight, but the PD balked at the last minute. Edwards is going to be paid his show money.
