To be honest, those that willingly join a union should have their intelligence questioned.

What kind of experience do you have in Unions. The engineer union you were in was probably weak.

It was weak. But unfortunately I had to work with the non-engineer union, which was absolutely impossible to work with.

True. But a union is designed to represent the bulk, average member. If you think of yourself as above average and a high performer, you absolutely should not want to join a union. Which is why their intelligence should be questioned if they willingly join a union.

had a union guy threaten me once, lets just say i threatened him back

90% of them are just trying to make a living, but the 10% who think that every job in the world is theirs by right of first refusal can kiss my ass

There's definitely douches in every Union. The guy that grieves every little nuance of the contract for example. I know way too many non-Union labor workers who have lost jobs because they had no one covering their ass when something came up.

I just explained. The only reason somebody should be happy about being treated the same as the average and the bulk is if they are below average and an underperformer. If somebody thinks of themselves as above average intelligence or performance, they must not be if they are happy to be in a union.

Doubt you'll find too many people that say they want to be the best machinist, the best mechanic, the best at delivering boxes. They want decent money, paid vacations, good healthcare and the ability to take care of their family without looking over their shoulder and worrying about greedy corporate bastards possibly moving or eliminating their job.

That's very insulting to a great many hard working Americans. My mother was in a union for over 30yrs. She was an x-ray technician and then a CT technician. She's very intelligent and was excellent at her job. She was offered management positions a few times but she loved working with patients and doctors. She loved her job.

Just like the person who drives a bus or delivers mail, you can be happy with what you do and do an excellent job and be fine with being in a union. God bless the people who show up to work on time, work a hard day, pay their taxes and live their lives. Isn't that what this country is all about? Why suddenly it's bad to be in a union or union members are stupid or lazy is just weird. Or complaining about how much union members make or that they were given too many benefits.

From what I understand Zags likes his job and with seniority will make what most consider a good living when he gets to be a driver. He's working to move up in his company. From what I've seen when I've had packages delivered those guys work pretty damn hard. Yet because he's part of a union and he's fine with that it makes him below average and an underperformer? I say bullshit. We need more Zags in this country.

some people have been brainwashed into believing the only way that you have any worth as a person is if you stomp and steal until you are wealthy beyond any ability to ever spend it, and to constantly compare yourself to others and make sure you are "winning"

nobody is getting out of this game alive, so just try and enjoy the ride

    well said sly

I think it's funny when a Republican is called out right in front of God and everybody, then the parrots go and bang on Obama.
No mention of how their candidate flip flops. Just attack attack attack. Answer the flip flop question 1st. Then Attack.

I know when a thread is heavy with Blazerboy30.

The scent of douche is overwhelming.

He's like the douche from 'Good Will Hunting.' But at least that character didn't pretend to be a Harvard grad.

LOL ... no bias in this statement. Obama has lost middle class America, and it's going to cost him the election.
