    5) Pok Pok, Biwa, Screen Door, Podnah's, Ocean City. I'm only in Portland about 5 days a year so that isn't too bad. Ocean City is the dim sum spot my family goes to these days and I go there every time I'm in Portland.

truthfully, Bunk, Screen Door and Beast are the only ones on my "must try list" I have whenever I go to PDX. I've always thought Eater's Essential restaurants to be kind of crappy (as a list) to be honest.

I really want to try bunk. I need to set a reminder so I try it when I'm in town for Christmas.

Keep in mind, all you bunk heads, that Bunk and Bunk sandwiches are owned by the same people and open at different times.

Heard of 3, eaten at none.

Seems many aren't what I'd really call a restaurant, and the PC-forced inclusian of every available ethnicity can only have watered down the field even more. Obviously omits most if not all of the well-known top retaurants that have been around any length of time.

I guess I'm Portlandia-ish because I try to only eat grass fed beef. LBB is the BEST burger in town! Cheap too!

Their Fries and special Ketchup are nothing short of amazing!

Haven't been to any. Guess that is what I get for being a suburban kid, huh?

Interesting not to see Killer Burger on that list. Same with Lucky Strike.
