A Pakistani Pashtun 14 y/o girl has been standing up to the Taliban for years, winning her country's peace prize and worldwide notoriety based on her work with BBC. Yesterday, they caught up with her. How can someone put a hit on a girl in the name of Islam? Meanwhile, Americans are marching across the "safe" areas of Pakistan to protest our use of drones in killing people like Mr. Ishan. :smh:
The title of your thread is could have been for one when Sadam Husein was murdering 300,000 citizens in Iraq. We invaded. But the Taliban are a fanatical group spread across more than half the earth.
all of the people over there who are sick of the taliban doing things like this should rise up and destroy them, pretty simple really
if it were only that simple. you would have to rise up and destroy an amalgamation of religion and thousands of years of war. very hard to defeat an idea. also, in the past twelve years that we have been in that area (mid east) at war, they have raised another generation of fighters, 10 and 12 year olds that have been and will die for their religious beliefs.
so do what? dunno if you heard, but we are at war with the taliban, and when you or barry deny that fact, they still believe that they are at war with us to the death...
Simply put, as a taxpayer I am fine with paying BrianFromWA to defend AMERICA from attacks, invasions (including non-violent ones) and embargos meant to harm AMERICA. Other countries pay their military to do the same. It's not, or shouldn't be, in BrianFromWA's job description to do the job assigned to other countries' military.

This. As was his aiding and abetting the hostage-takers in Tehran during his election campaign in order to sabotage Carter's re-election. As was his flooding American streets with crack cocaine to support terrorists via the Iran-Contra "affair".
It directly led to the fall of the Iron Curtain. It may not have been legal but it led to the end of the cold war. USA! USA! USA!
