The only evidence I know of a temper is that when he came to Portland right after the draft, he got annoyed by a local reporter's dumb questions. He always looks like he's red-faced and close to crying, which may derive from exerting self-control over this temper which we suppose he has. I'd like to hear of more incidents before accepting its existence as fact.
When you point out his flaws, a Christian smugly answers with condescension, "I'm not perfect, just Christian" or "I'm not perfect, just forgiven." Christianity says that no matter how wicked you've been all your life, if you accept Christ on your deathbed, you go to Heaven. And if you've lived an exemplary life but don't accept Christ, you go to Hell. (Similarly, Jews believe they're the Chosen People. If I knew more about other religions, I'd be able to nail them to the Cross here, too.)
Someone's done their evangelism well...couldn't have said it better myself. Other than "smugly" and "with condescension". Christianity also says that there's no such thing as an "exemplary" life good enough for you to be in the presence of God without Jesus.
Okay. Thanks for clarifying. You guys seem to understand part of it, just don't like it. That's okay. Personally, I like not having to worry about how much "exemplary" is enough to determine my destiny. To the OP, I didn't think Leonard got out of sorts. He seemed to get lost a couple times, but came back strong without distraction.
