By that measure our involvement in the middle east cannot be considered in the interests of world peace.

Waging war is not a way of imposing the will of the United States on the world, he said, but a way of seeking a better future for its people. But peace can be justified too, he said, and he outlined three ways to build a just and lasting peace in the world. This one makes far more sense than the Obama one. People may hate the EU, but the truth is that those countries used to fight a lot and they don't anymore. That said, it has an "everybody's a winner!" kind of vibe. When you bestow an award on the majority of a continent, you're kind of wasting everybody's time.
I hope the entirety of the EU shows up to accept the award. That'll make them think about doing something like this again.
