All jokes aside, I really don't see how Romney wins this, and I'm not a supporter of Obama. I just don't think Romney is likeable.

Is likability really the metric by which you think we select a President?

    I think he's referring to this: http://www.pewforum.org/Unaffiliated/nones-on-the-rise.aspx

Your 78% number is from 2007. It's now at 73% (and dropping).

Billy Graham matters, but not as much as he used to. The majority of Americans are no longer Protestant, which is kind of stunning to think about. No way would Graham have endorsed a Mormon 15 years ago.

But didn't Jesus say something about render unto Ceasar?

Maybe he should just, you know, feed the hungry? There is a lot in the bible about that. Abortion, however, is not mentioned.

Did you watch the first debate . . . I thought Mitt came across personal and competent.

At this point it is Ryan who concerns me more than Romeny, but he is just the VP and shouldn't control who to vote for.

It's still Obama's election to lose . . . but another debate performance like last and he may just lose this election.

I think it is very important that citizens like the person who will end up being the face of our nation.

downside of that is what we now have

the country loved the ideas of hope and change, the people and the press rallied behind the man, they more than liked him to a fault. now they can not admit his lack of ability to follow through and lead....

rather have a guy that I may not "like", but takes the high road and leads, for the betterment of the country.

see John Adams, Teddy R, FDR, Grant, and the most well known for doing this, Abe

The assumption your making is that Romney is someone who takes the high road and leads. I can see him being a leader . . . not convinced on the high road thing.

Not much of a history buff so I just go off of what I have experienced. I travel alot and can tell you I was embarrassed to have Bush as president the second term. I don't know if he has done worse or better than Obama, but I sure enjoy traveling and discussing politics aborad more with Obama as president. I don't want to go through another Bush like era.

Everyone has their own reasons to vote . . . a big criteria for me is I have to like who the president is. Having said all that, Romney has stemmed my fears that he will be an embarrassing president.

Who will be better for the country (ecoonomically, security, foreign policy) . . . that is all above my head and luckily doesn't matter I don't know since Oregon is a lock for Obama.

I'm going to vote too . . . and if it was today, it would be Romney.

After last night's debate, I'm just glad he is in good health. :)

hahaha well good for you. At some point the pendulem will swing back to center and both of Our votes will again count, till then we must keep a belief in the system. No matter how broken, it is still the best in the world, in the best country in the world.

Graham has always been a hard guy to pin down. He's been called a warmonger for supporting every violent conflict we've become involved with, the antichrist by fundamentalists, anti-semite for his comments against jews, but quite publicly pushed for civil rights in the south in the 50's and 60's.

While we don't share many of the same views I respect that he obviously has the courage to speak his mind and a conscience that guides him in his actions.

Why he'd ever get involved with a spineless, amoral snake like Romney boggles the mind.

That might be akin to asking you what kind of a husband you are. It's relatively rhetorical.
