I like his numbers a lot more than what I see with my eyes, which could be a good or bad thing.

It seems like he very soft moves around the basket with an extremely low release point far away from his body and has no interest in using his strength to power through defenders. Defensively, again, he doesn't appears to want to use his natural strength to help him gain position on rebounds or to force his defender of his spot.

Having said all that, maybe those are easily correctable things and instead of going 14-8 with major soft spots in his game, he'll be going for 20-12 once they're fixed.

Reading "ODENISGOD" 's posts make me want to bash my head against a brick wall.

I remember why I haven't so much as read a single thread on this forum in the last few months...time to go away again. Peace out.

Honesty doesn't always equate to intelligent or correct. You are honestly wrong.

And Oden... Oh yeah he wasn't healthy enough to play in ANY preseason games in his rookie season.

It's funny worrying about how ML plays from game to game, if you don't understand this guy is a project and it will take a few years at least then take a few aspirin and go back to bed. The guy is RAW, 20 yrs old and while he will at times show some flashes the key for him is to make solid improvement by season's end. He plays the C position, the hardest to adjust to in the NBA for players coming out of college. This team will very likely not be very good and we are learning a new system, IMO the early part of the season will be the most difficult. I don't expect much, realistically no one should IMO.

I thought the PG spot was always the hardest to adjust to in the NBA for players coming out of college?

not from what I have read and seen, look at recent drafts and the PG's who made a big impact their first yr and then look for C's who have

since 04/05 when Okafor won the rookie of the yr 5 guards have won the award, all played PG that yr except Roy, they include CP3-Rose-Tyreke-Irving
