I agree. I'm just tired of it. Their are so many religions, it's all bogus to me. It's annoying and when I listen to people that are hardcore into it they seem brainwashed and out of reality. I live my life my way, I form my own opinions and do what I feel, I don't live by some old book. Who and the hell wants to live for eternity in heaven anyway...not me.

i don't need "god". What happens to me is because of me. I got an A on my test b/c I studied long and hard, "god" didn't pop the answers in my head. I hit a home-run b/c I practice hard and i stay focused. "god" didn't just fly in and give me the strength to hit out. i can understand someone not believing in God, but to believe that there isn't someone up there controlling everything is just ridiculous. Miracles happen every day, you can't just miss that. You think the earth was created by some big explosion? oh please.

God gives me faith when I'm down and keeps me going.The whole idea of Christianity is to be a good person and if you do so will go to heavan and live eternally with God.That's what we believe in,I am Catholic and religion is important to me.The bible gives hope and teaches all kinds of lessons in life.I also believe Julius Cesar took some stories out of the bible cuz hes stupid but for the stories in the bible they are inspirational. Just because you don't believe in something don't talk it down like it means nothing. Especially if you don't even fully understand the christian religion.Dont be so ignorant playaofthegame. God doesn't control people.God gave something called free-will to people that live in the world,that way he could see the good people from the bad and who goes to heaven and hell. well, they did find the ARK. I come from a family where most of my uncles and aunts and grandparents are Preachers. and im not sure what's what!!!\but yeah they did find the ARK- i think. IMO it was written as a history book. I think that alot of it happened but got changed in translation (it was originally written in hebrew) and i think it is a case of a fishing story - the fish gets bigger n bgger.

They don't say "i think im right because....."
I am sort of in the middle ground on this. Do I believe there is a God? Yes I do. I think there was someone who created the earth and the heavens and whatnot but I too do believe that we don't have to do so many things to get into heaven. I believe as long as your a good person you get in. I can't see someone who is an atheist but donates to charity's, helps others, and is just a good person go to hell just because he didn't believe in God. This also would go for someone who does believe in God but may not have been batpized and they go to Hell eventhough they have lived a great life and never did anything bad? I just that as unfair.

But how is believing in something wasting your life? It's not like I'm becoming a priest or anything. If there is no heaven or hell then who knows what awaits me after I die,but that's not the point. Christianity gives meaning to people's lives and gives them something to shoot for.

I think the world was created by a spaghetti monster. Once again, so what? What is the debate in this topic? I don't see why anyone should care what someone's opinion is unless you're going to back it up somehow. Plenty of people have given reasons, whether it's because it helps them believe in something or whatever.
