The Donald is offering $5 million (immediately) to a charity(ies) of Obama's choice if he simply releases his college transcripts and passport records.

He'll donate $5M to the charity of Obama's choice if Obama will release his college applications and transcripts plus his passport applications.

As I posted in the other thread about this topic, I don't see why Obama wouldn't do this. It's an easy $5M for a good cause, and he's surely got nothing to hide.

agreed. Doesn't seem like a major announcement. Would be cool if it happened though.

A big time republican offering to donate $5 million dollars to a democrats choice of charity isn't a major announcement?

IF the records released meets with Trumps approval.

But Trump thinks the birth certificate is a phoney so the chances of him actually paying off the $5mill is pretty small.

He said he wants the colleges to release the applications. I don't see where he said the documents had to be to his satisfaction.

Seems like he's more concerned about some of the documents being held back.

Which seems like it'd give him an out to not donate the money, by saying after something was released that he feels some is missing.

It is a hopelessly stupid thing by Trump, but were I Obama I'd take the chump's $5 million and laugh about it.

I thought his big announcement was going to be a once-and-for-all identification of that thing on his head...

So make him refuse to pay up and embarrass the shit out of him.

I don't believe "to my satisfaction" is a legal term.

And what does Obama have to lose, but some associate making a few calls to the schools to get them to release his transcripts and applications?

I'm not disagreeing with you. I have no problem releasing mine for $5mill.

All I was pointing out is you said, "I don't see where he said to my satisfaction" so I pointed it out to you.

IMO something else is going on here. He has or had something about Obama and cocaine or Obama filing for divorce and the Romney campaign told him not to release it so he came up with this $5mill thing to save face.

He probably has like a 3.4 or something after doing really bad early on in school. then affirmative action got him into Harvard.

    So what?

W partied in school and got mediocre grades. So did Gore.

I think we've seen enough of Obama to know he's a very smart guy and he has a track record (as poor as it is).

His grades aren't going to affect anyone's vote.

What might is if it says on these applications that he was born in Kenya, then we have a bit of a constitutional question.

But again, I don't believe he was born in Kenya, he says he wasn't, so what's to hide?
