Yes but he doesn't have millions and millions of dollars in payoffs yet like Stern has.

We play this right and we should be able to get a few #1 draft picks in upcoming years.

I don't know, but I'm getting the scene in my head where Ethan Hawke goes to the restaurant with Denzel and meets the "Three Wise Men" in Training Day. It's just going to go from Stern sitting at the Shady Table and getting the cash out of the trunk to Silver doing so.

This isn't really unexpected. I don't think he'll be completely out of the picture after retiring. I expect him to pull Silver's strings for a few more years.

Glad to get rid of Stern, but Adam Silver scares me...like he's one of the evil guys from the movie Phantasm or something. I'm pretty sure I will have nightmares the night of every draft he announces -- he was easier to tune out when he did the 2nd round.

    Stern leaving = good news.

Silver replacing him - not so much. If half of what they say about Silver is true, brace yourself for more lock-outs and labor strife.

Maybe they'll (finally!) start testing for HGH?

Maybe they should just stop testing - period. Either the player is breaking the law and it is the business of the courts, or they are not breaking the law and it is nobody's business.
